Currently, Weather Mtaani is expanding its outreach through the Bridge Project, which focuses on increasing climate awareness and resilience through community listening groups, school visits, and creative performances. Through engaging skits and plays, the organization educates children and adults alike on the importance of understanding and using weather and climate information in their daily lives. Weather Mtaani continues to champion locally-led adaptation efforts, bridging the gap between scientific information and community action to build a safer and more climate-resilient Kibera.
Knowing weather changes in advance helps people prepare, reduce risks, and stay informed and alert.
creating Awareness
We usually conduct capacity building by training people on weather awareness, equipping them with knowledge to prepare, protect, and respond effectively.
Nurturing Talent, Raising Awareness!
Football nurtures young people’s talents while also serving as a platform to raise weather awareness in the community. It builds skills like teamwork and discipline, and at the same time educates people on how to stay safe and prepared for changing weather.
Computer Classes
Computer classes give the residents digital tools to access, understand, and even create solutions for weather awareness and preparedness.
Timely weather updates can help you prepare better and avoid unnecessary challenges.
Weather Mtaani usually sends advance messages to the community to help them prepare early and avoid inconvenience.
